Birthday Poem for the Mother (aged 14)
I love you mum, I’ll always care;
I deeply hope you’ll always be there.
I dread the time when you’ll go away
But in my heart, forever, you’ll stay.
Into this world, you brought me dear
And ever since you’ve been so near.
Extremely well you’ve raised me so
That easily into life I’ll go.
When you go to work each day
I really want to, need to say THANK YOU:
You kill yourself to care for us
And, although you sometimes make a fuss,
You needn’t bother because we’ll always love
You and each other.
